A stream or waterfall changes how a garden feels — the sound softens the world, draws the eye, and gives a space somewhere to settle. FloraStone Studio designs water features that look as though they were always there, tucked into the grade with natural stone, mossy boulders, and plantings that blur where the design ends and the Northwest begins.
You see the feature in context — its stone, its planting, and the way it sounds through the space around it — in photorealistic 3D with detailed plans before any work begins, so the water lands exactly right.
Sited to look and sound natural
We use the existing grade to give water a reason to fall, composing pools, runs, and drops with boulders and stacked stone that read as native ledge rather than a kit. Placement is tuned so the sound carries to the patio and seating, where you actually hear it.
Planted and detailed to belong
Water features live or die on their edges. We layer ferns, mosses, and water-loving plantings along the banks and specify natural stone chosen to weather into the setting — so within a season the feature looks rooted in the landscape, not set on top of it.
